The Chicago Tribune's managing editor for news is leaving the newspaper after 30 years. In a note to the staff Wednesday, George de Lama said he's had "two lifetimes' worth of adventures" during his career.

In the wake of the primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, many pundits called Barack Obama the winner. A win in the WV was expected for Clinton and that expectation in conjunction with the pundits' declarations and the steady march of superdelegates to Obama could have triggered a downward trend in her poll numbers.
